This is about living our life as close as humanly possible to that which is in alignment with what we desire and then taking the appropriate steps to build upon that. This is about waking up each day and having the confidence to refine our journey moreso than it is reaching a singular event. There is no singular event.
You have more than enough ability to change your current reality. Make a decision.
At the very start of his book Limitless, Jim Quik recalls a conversation he had with a friend’s Dad whilst he struggled to keep on top of his studies—the concepts of which can easily be applied to circumstances extending beyond that of formal education.
These questions would serve to be pivotal in the evolution of Jim’s mindset.
Everything that we can perceive comes and goes. We are, at our deepest level, the silent quality that is aware of these things.
We are already enlightened, already powerful, already capable, but our identification with the subject of our awareness creates a blanket of noise that prevents us from resting in this awareness.
As we go deeper into ourselves, the very fact we tend to have the same thoughts across multiple traumas is surely indicative of a deeper pattern longing to be addressed.
It is not what happened to us that should be the focus of our energies. Healing happens when we focus on what happened inside as a result of what happened to us.
The purpose of life is to know ourselves, to create ourselves, to experience ourselves as who we really are. Learning about why we behave as we do is surely one of the most fulfilling activities we could engage in.
This is about living with heart, with fire, with passion. This is about living with persistence, with compassion, with grace. This is about engineering our time to emerge victorious every day of our lives.
This is about being deliberate with our time and not wasting a single second. This is about working to discover who we really are and spending our days in increasing alignment with that.
Our obstacles are not rivers or mountains or other people; our obstacle is ourselves. We can all identify the ways in which something won’t work. It takes the spirit of courage and determination to identify the ways in which it can.
We often put our material possessions in for a service but overlook perhaps the most powerful tool we have at our disposal: our minds. When was the last time you upgraded your mindset?
The fears and beliefs we accumulate at one point may well be hampering our current realities.
There are now three questions I want you to ask yourself: Could I do what’s necessary? Would I do what’s necessary? When?
We all get a little scared sometimes. We all get a little insecure. It’s important to know that it won’t last. The threat has passed and the body has the innate ability to heal itself if our mind acts in a way that is congruent with the alignment of our higher selves. The necessary resources are out there if we’re willing to take responsibility for our healing.
You can always have more, bigger, better, and faster, but that has no correlation to your long-term happiness. Enduring satisfaction is found by getting in touch with who we are at our core. The awareness that is forever within. Enduring satisfaction is quiet, peaceful, serene.
To paraphrase Paul J. Mayer, success is about the progressive realisation of predetermined, worthwhile goals. Ask yourself whether what you are about to do today will make you a better person.
